2023 New Faculty Orientation

No dates for this event

Register today for New Faculty Orientation! The 2023 new faculty orientation program will prepare you to hit the ground running. In Part 1 – link below – you will find self-paced interactive learning modules housed in Canvas, Penn State’s learning management system. Please enroll yourself in the course and begin exploring. We’ll see you on campus for Part 2, which will take place in the Advanced Manufacturing & Innovation Center (AMIC). In this session, we will focus intensely on teaching resources, including how to apply Penn State’s academic affairs policies to different scenarios, effective teaching strategies shared by your colleagues, and teaching support resources.

Part 1 | Self-paced

Please open this course and proceed module by module. Inside, you will find skills-targeted videos, links to helpful information about offices you will regularly use, and a few “quiz questions” (optional) sprinkled throughout to test your knowledge. You will see some of the people featured in this course again at our in-person orientation.
