Teaching Triangle is a peer-to-peer, non-evaluative classroom observation program built on openness and reciprocity. Operating on a semester-to-semester basis, it welcomes faculty members of any rank.

Teaching Triangle is a classroom observation model modified after Teaching Square, a program adopted by dozens of universities in North America. The triangle or square shape refers to the group size of three or four. At Behrend, participants will not be placed in a fixed-size group. Rather, participants are asked to visit 3 classes open to observation in a given semester.

How does it work?

Participants enlist one or more course sections for fellow instructors to visit by filling out the form below. In return, participants visit at least three classes from the pool and reflect on the takeaways. Class visits can start as soon as you find a matching interest. Details of the program and FAQs can be found on the Join Spring 2024 Teaching Triangle form below.
